Before you apply, please review the following important information about working at Bemidji Ambulance Service. These expectations help ensure we provide safe, reliable care for our community.

Your Commitment to Availability
Casual (Part-Time) employees are asked to provide at least 8 available days each month. Typically, we’ll schedule you for 12-hour shifts on 4 of those days, with more shifts usually available if you're interested. Some overnight shifts will be required.

A Drug-Free, Safety-Focused Workplace
Because Bemidji Ambulance Service provides critical care and operates in safety-sensitive environments, we maintain a strict drug-free workplace policy. Employees may not use or be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana (cannabis), or any other substances that may cause impairment during work hours.
All employees must also comply with our drug testing policy, which includes passing pre-employment and random screenings. While marijuana use may be legal in some circumstances, federal guidelines and industry safety standards do not permit its use in safety-sensitive positions. If a pre-employment drug screen is non-negative, your start date will be delayed until you test negative.
